Space is a doubt. I have constantly to mark it, to designate it. It's never mine, never given to me, I have to conquer it.
-Georges Perec

When a space is before us - like a window or a picture - it has a quality of illusion or fiction in it. It suggests our potential and physical path through it, but remains a more mental space of the imagination. When walking through a space, our perception of it shifts and changes, creating multiple views and perspectives, mixing both the physical experience of moving through it and the more imaginative viewpoints we have of it.
