Space is all one space and thought is all one thought, but my mind divides its spaces into spaces into spaces and thoughts into thoughts into thoughts.
-Andy Warhol
A space for another space.
A space within a space within a space within a space.
A layering of spaces, as when one is walking through a long labyrinth, where each space leads to another, then another, then another.
Or a Russian doll, in which each space encloses another space inside it.
Memories work a little like this too. A memory is a trace that points to something outside itself. A memory is a space for a space.
