Ghost

The series of C-type prints Ghost shows the silhouettes of three books about Piet Mondrian as well as a silhouette of a poster of one of his paintings. These silhouettes have been filled with a wash of colour. Red, blue and yellow, three colours taken from Mondrian’s palette, fuse playfully together here, in sharp contrast to Mondrian’s sharp- edged colour fields. ‘Ghost’ here refers as much to the silhouetted books and poster as well as the ghost of Mondrian.
