This photograph taken in 2008 was digitally manipulated to resemble a photograph from the 1970s. It depicts the Soviet-built Palace of Science and Culture in Warsaw. Lev Rudnev, the Soviet architect of the building, assimilated architectural motifs from historically significant buildings in Poland. The signage that has been installed on the building in recent years serves as a clue that the photograph could not have been taken in the 1970s.
